Mark Zuckerberg

To tell you the truth, I am not really familiar with the life of Zuckerberg, I didn't even know his name 'till today, the only thing I knew about him was that he created facebook at his dorm in Harvard or something like that. But now this is today's hot topic "how could a simple idea became such a big company?" and of course Zuckerberg couldn't miss the chance to stay behind so he showed his face on TV! Oprah said that the movie 'Social Networking' is an unauthorized movie but how do we now that it really is? I mean, can we be really sure that Zuckerberg is not behind this project? What I'm trying to say is that it is a huge coincidence that this guy decided to donate a couple million bucks some days before the release of a movie about his life. Maybe he did it to advertise the movie and make some money out of it, who knows.
Now about this quote "Move fast. Take risks. It's ok to try big things. You're better off trying something and having it not work, and learning from that, than having not done anything at all." I really liked it. This is pretty much my ideology of success, we have to fail if we want something to be perfect. Personally I am afraid of failure, actually I would say that it is my biggest fear in life but without it we wouldn't learn anything. This quote reminds me of a verse of a poem that my mom got for me a week ago. The poem is called 'If' by Rudyard Kipling. Many of you may be familiar with this poem, but for those who don't have a clue of what I'm writing about I'm gonna post it on my blog. The verse that I'm talking about says:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss

That poem really speaks to me and this verse is one of my favourites. It encourages to take risks and never give up, pretty much like Zuckerberg said.
One more thing, sorry I know I write a lot but once I start I just can't stop. The last thing I want to comment about is Zuckerberg himself. Personally I admire this kind of people that make millions out of nothing, they show that success is there floating around, waiting for us to go for it. The way to success could be painful and disappointing, but the rewards are great, I'm not talking about the money, I'm talking about the feeling of success, the feeling that you reached it and that you have it, and this guy really shows that everything is possible.

  1. i had never heard about mark either!!
i didnt even know he invented facebook but anyways
since i dont exactly like facebook anymore i am not even interested in the movie, but i would like to try to answer your question about the movie being unauthorized.

well in the video mark said that he knows his life is not so dramatic and that it would be kind of nice to have all that partying and stuff going on but its not the truth
i think that if this guy is as simple as to be renting a house instead of a million dollar place, he would not want a movie about his life to be a bunch of lies and thats why i believe he is not behind all this

anyways great poem and dont worry we all get into writing once we start =)

  2. Well, when I started one I knew a little bit about Mark but I learned a great deal from the short article and video clip. One thing I really enjoyed while reading your article was the poem you inserted which was'If' by Rudyard Kipling.I personally never heard of it before and I'm greatful for you putting it out there. Here's to awesome blogs now and hopefully in the future! :)
