On my last post I included a verse of a great poem, here's the complete poem.
IF by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Mark Zuckerberg
To tell you the truth, I am not really familiar with the life of Zuckerberg, I didn't even know his name 'till today, the only thing I knew about him was that he created facebook at his dorm in Harvard or something like that. But now this is today's hot topic "how could a simple idea became such a big company?" and of course Zuckerberg couldn't miss the chance to stay behind so he showed his face on TV! Oprah said that the movie 'Social Networking' is an unauthorized movie but how do we now that it really is? I mean, can we be really sure that Zuckerberg is not behind this project? What I'm trying to say is that it is a huge coincidence that this guy decided to donate a couple million bucks some days before the release of a movie about his life. Maybe he did it to advertise the movie and make some money out of it, who knows.
Now about this quote "Move fast. Take risks. It's ok to try big things. You're better off trying something and having it not work, and learning from that, than having not done anything at all." I really liked it. This is pretty much my ideology of success, we have to fail if we want something to be perfect. Personally I am afraid of failure, actually I would say that it is my biggest fear in life but without it we wouldn't learn anything. This quote reminds me of a verse of a poem that my mom got for me a week ago. The poem is called 'If' by Rudyard Kipling. Many of you may be familiar with this poem, but for those who don't have a clue of what I'm writing about I'm gonna post it on my blog. The verse that I'm talking about says:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss
That poem really speaks to me and this verse is one of my favourites. It encourages to take risks and never give up, pretty much like Zuckerberg said.
One more thing, sorry I know I write a lot but once I start I just can't stop. The last thing I want to comment about is Zuckerberg himself. Personally I admire this kind of people that make millions out of nothing, they show that success is there floating around, waiting for us to go for it. The way to success could be painful and disappointing, but the rewards are great, I'm not talking about the money, I'm talking about the feeling of success, the feeling that you reached it and that you have it, and this guy really shows that everything is possible.
